A superhero film by director Kang Hyoung-chul, known for 'Sunny' and 'Swing Kids', is coming. The movie is 'High Five'.

Director Kang Hyoung-chul opened up at the production report meeting for 'High Five' (directed by Kang Hyoung-chul) held at Lotte Cinema in Konkuk University on the morning of the 12th, saying, "I wanted to make a movie that people can watch comfortably and enjoyably, and I got a good opportunity."

Director Kang expressed his affection, saying, "I had a good idea while chatting with a friend who shares interesting stories, and that led to the production."

Ahn Jae-hong stated, "I wanted to be part of 'High Five' because it was directed by Kang Hyoung-chul. I was curious about what kind of story he would depict," and added, "I was amazed as soon as I read the script. It was exciting to see how he conceived such material and development."

On the other hand, Ra Mi-ran said, "I had faith and expectations for the director. My role was also significant," and humorously added, "They say I would become prettier by using superpowers. I thought this might be my last chance, so I participated."

Lee Jae-in, who is taking on his first action role, plays the character Wan-seo, who gains superhuman strength after a heart transplant. He said, "I have loved superhero movies since I was young," and added, "I am very grateful that the director gave me the opportunity to showcase action acting. I remember doing a kick at our first meeting."

He continued, "Since it was my first action scene, I was worried about the other actor getting hurt, but (Park Jin-young) helped me a lot to ensure that he wouldn't get hurt, so we had fun filming."

Director Kang Hyoung-chul praised, "Lee Jae-in is a genius," and Oh Jung-se, who plays his father in the film, chimed in, "It's true that he's a genius because he's my daughter."

Lee Jae-in explained the preparation process for the action, saying, "I am a character who does wire work and practices Taekwondo, and I tried to do as much as possible without a stunt double."

Park Jin-young praised him, saying, "I couldn't do it like Lee Jae-in because of my schedule, but I climbed mountains to build my stamina. I tried hard to keep up, but I couldn't. He does the roundhouse kick without hurting himself so well."

Lee Jae-in mentioned, "In the relationship between Wan-seo and his father, the dialogue has to flow well. Even if I can't keep up, my father throws lines at me, so I can feel the joy of acting."

He added, "I am really happy and this movie is very meaningful because I got to play such a cool and generous role. It is a movie that means a lot to everyone involved. I am very happy that it is being released."

The film is a comic action drama depicting the story of five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants and encounter those who seek their abilities. It is the latest work by director Kang Hyoung-chul, who directed 'Speed Scandal', 'Sunny', 'Tazza: The High Rollers', and 'Swing Kids'. It stars Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Yoo Ah-in, Ra Mi-ran, Kim Hee-won, Oh Jung-se, and Park Jin-young.

Director Kang Hyoung-chul honestly stated regarding Yoo Ah-in's participation, who has halted activities due to the 'drug scandal', "I hardly touched it."

Director Kang said, "It is a regrettable situation, and I wish it hadn't happened," and added, "(Regarding Yoo Ah-in's drug controversy) at that time, the film was not yet completed and was in post-production. When a big issue arose, I remembered hearing somewhere that 'a competent leader must solve problems first.' As a director and responsible person, I thought I had to work hard on post-production to complete the film. I was determined to complete a work with shining actors."

'High Five' will be released on May 30.
