Lee Hee-jun from 'Bogotá' shared his thoughts on filming abroad.
On the afternoon of the 19th, a screening and press conference for the movie 'Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances' (hereafter referred to as Bogotá) was held at Megabox COEX in Seoul. Director Kim Sung-jae and actors Song Joong-ki, Lee Hee-jun, Kwon Hae-hyo, Park Ji-hwan, and Kim Jong-soo attended.
Lee Hee-jun said, "I attended salsa classes to feel the local rhythm. On my days off, I went to dance classes."
He continued, "We filmed in a limited and safe area, so we only talked about Bogotá. We discussed every day how to deliver good performances."
Kwon Hae-hyo explained, "Rather than staying in our accommodations, we went to outdoor cafes to feel the atmosphere. I tried to feel like I was living there while tanning on the hotel rooftop."
'Bogotá' tells the story of Guk-hee (played by Song Joong-ki), who heads to Bogotá, Colombia, on the other side of the world with new hopes right after the IMF crisis, and becomes entangled with the influential figures of the Korean community in Bogotá, including Su-young (Lee Hee-jun) and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae-hyo). The film is set to be released on the 31st.
