Singer Hwang Young-woong has donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross for wildfire damage recovery.
The Korean Red Cross announced on the 27th, "Hwang Young-woong has registered as a member of the 'Red Cross Honors Club,' a group of major donors contributing over 100 million won."
Hwang Young-woong stated, "I cannot imagine the pain of witnessing the destruction of one's home by fire," and added, "I will quietly share that pain until the situation is restored, and I urge my fans to come together with the same heart during these difficult times."
Hwang Young-woong's fan club, Paradise, also contributed 40 million won to the Korean Red Cross on the same day.
To support the victims of the large wildfires that occurred in various regions across the country, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam, Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, and Ulju in Ulsan, the fan cafe Paradise led the initiative in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan areas, encouraging participation from all branches and exerting a positive influence.
Last year, at the end of the year, Hwang Young-woong also donated 100 million won through the Love Fruit organization to help those in need.
