On the 5th, CGV announced that it will screen the short film 'M Hotel', produced through generative artificial intelligence (AI), as the first of its kind in domestic theaters.
'M Hotel' tells a mysterious story about a homeless man who, lamenting his life, accidentally finds a hotel key. Despite its short running time of 6 minutes and 31 seconds, it has been praised for its deep insights into life.
The film 'M Hotel' has garnered attention at various international AI film festivals, including being an Official Selection at the Venice AI International Film Awards, Best AI Film Winner at the Cannes World Film Festival, and Best AI Film Winner at the New York AMT Film Festival. It has also been invited to screen at the 'Busan International Artificial Intelligence Film Festival (BIAIF)', which will be held from the 6th to the 8th at the Busan Haeundae Cinema Center.
The film 'M Hotel' will be available in 20 theaters nationwide, including CGV Gangnam, Wangsimni, and Yongsan I-Park Mall, starting from the 11th. The ticket price is 1,000 won, and reservations will be available from the 5th.
To celebrate the release of 'M Hotel', CGV will also hold an event. Customers who reserve 'M Hotel' through the CGV mobile app can purchase 'Instant Popcorn' for 1,000 won at the integrated payment stage. Additionally, customers watching 'M Hotel' will receive a free medium cola exchange voucher when printing their tickets on the day of the screening, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
