Actress Bae Nara will appear in the musical 'Bonnie and Clyde.'
The musical 'Bonnie and Clyde' is based on the true story of Bonnie and Clyde, two individuals who existed during the Great Depression in the 1930s America. It depicts the story of two people who, yearning for freedom, meet by fate, fall in love, and shake the world through a series of car thefts and robberies.
Having debuted on Broadway in 2011 and received immense love, the musical will meet audiences again in Korea after 11 years since its premiere in 2013 and its revival in 2014. As the entire cast and direction have been newly restructured, it is expected to captivate the audience with a different charm than before.
Bae Nara will play the role of Clyde Barrow (hereafter Clyde), the protagonist of the story. Clyde is an attractive young man who aspires to become a legendary criminal.
After about a year and a half since her last stage appearance in the musical 'Evil Dead' in June last year, Bae Nara is expected to impress again as she delicately portrays characters with intense and complex inner lives, such as Yoon Myung-ryeol in 'Vanishing,' the lead in 'Thrill Me,' and the male character in 'The Last Farewell.'
After leaving a strong impression in the Netflix original series 'D.P. Season 2,' Bae Nara is building her unique acting color by completing a charming villain character in 'Weak Hero Class 2.' Currently, she is challenging her first romantic comedy role as Baek Sang-hyun in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Universe Mary Me,' showcasing a different charm.
The musical 'Bonnie and Clyde,' featuring Bae Nara, will be available from December 11 to March 2, 2026, at the Hongik University Daehakro Art Center Grand Theater.
