Gym trainer Yang Chi-seung, who has been a victim of jeonse fraud, expressed his feelings after attending the National Assembly audit.

On the 13th, after attending the National Assembly audit, Yang Chi-seung wrote on his social media, "I hope to raise awareness of the reality where victims become offenders due to loopholes in the National Assembly audit law, and to correct the structural damage caused by the blind eye of the administration towards the new types of jeonse fraud."

Yang Chi-seung attended the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee audit as a witness. At this meeting, he testified about the actual situation of jeonse fraud-type rental damage that occurred in public-private facilities.

Previously, Yang Chi-seung revealed that he suffered a jeonse fraud loss of around 500 million won. According to him, he received an eviction order from the Gangnam District Office, the actual owner of the building, and ultimately had to close down 'Body Space,' which he had operated for 18 years.

The building where Yang Chi-seung was located was a public facility built under the condition of "donation and return," where a private business operator builds and uses it for a certain period before returning it to the state or local government for free. As a result, after the 20-year free usage period ended, the management rights were transferred to the Gangnam District Office, rendering the lease contract invalid.

Yang Chi-seung lamented, "The tenants thought it would be much safer because the state was operating it, but in the end, it turned out to be the opposite. We were criminally sued for using public property without permission, and most tenants became offenders."

Yang Chi-seung stated, "I have never received any guidance about the precautions regarding the donated building from the Gangnam District Office, the landlord, or the certified real estate agent," and expressed his frustration, saying, "Instead, we were criminally reported for using public property without permission, and most tenants became offenders."
