Actor Lee Jung-jae has achieved the honor of being the first Korean to win the 'Charlie Chaplin Awards.'

On the 3rd, Lee Jung-jae became the recipient of the Charlie Chaplin Award Asia at an event held in Singapore.

The Charlie Chaplin Awards are one of the most prestigious lifetime achievement awards in the film industry, presented annually by the Film at Lincoln Center in New York, USA.

The awards aim to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the film industry and set new standards.

In 2018, a new Asia category was established to recognize the contributions of Asian filmmakers, with renowned figures such as Tony Leung, Zhang Yimou, and Maggie Cheung receiving awards in this category, enhancing its prestige.
