Actor Ahn Hyo-seop, who voiced the leader Jin-woo of the evil spirit group Lion Boys in 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', expressed his hope that Jin-woo's soul would be returned in Season 2.
In a recent video interview with CBS News, Ahn Hyo-seop discussed the popularity of the Netflix animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (hereafter referred to as 'K-Demon Hunters') and the upcoming Season 2.
When asked why he thinks 'K-Demon Hunters' resonates with many people, Ahn Hyo-seop replied, "It's very honest."
He continued, "The film depicts the process of accepting who you are and confronting your inner self. Everyone makes mistakes and has things they wish they could take back. Instead of running away from those things, the protagonists face them and grow. I think this aspect resonates with many people."
As it has been revealed that 'K-Demon Hunters' is planning a Season 2, expectations are high for how the next story will unfold.
In response to a question about this, Ahn Hyo-seop said, "I don't have much information about Season 2 yet. However, I think the characters have just begun their journey and have a lot of room to grow." He also expressed his desire to see Jin-woo again, requesting, "Please return Jin-woo's soul," which caught attention.
Meanwhile, 'K-Demon Hunters' tells the story of the K-pop girl group HuntRix defeating the evil spirit boy group Lion Boys to protect the world with their music. After its release in June, it set the record for the highest-grossing animation on Netflix.
