Former announcer and broadcaster Yoon Young-mi paid tribute to the late comedian Jeon Yoo-seong.

On the 25th, Yoon Young-mi posted on her Instagram account, "Teacher Jeon Yoo-seong. What should I do? You were a kind uncle to me, Senior Jeon Yoo-seong," along with a photo.

She reminisced, "A long time ago, you invited me to Jirisan, showing me around for three days, making us laugh with your jokes the whole time. You drank soju all night at the Jirisan farm, filmed YouTube videos with us, and even traveled a long way to attend my book talk in Gwangju for the release of my book."

She continued, "Ah, I also remember going to Muju Resort together. You also visited the reckless house in Jeju, Senior."

"When I was publishing a manners book, you would often call me to share your experiences of bad manners and encouraged me to include them in the book. You kindly brewed tea for me at the Jirisan Cafe, and now it feels like Jirisan is empty," she wrote.

Yoon Young-mi expressed her condolences, saying, "I hope you rest comfortably in a good place. I will miss your slow and peaceful voice very much."

The late Jeon graduated from Seorabeol Arts High School and the Department of Theater and Film at Seorabeol University. He debuted as a writer for TBC's 'Show Show Show' in 1969, transitioned to a comedian, and became known to viewers through shows like 'Humor No. 1' and 'Show Video Jockey.'

In an era when comedians were referred to as comic actors, he popularized the term 'gagman' in the broadcasting industry, establishing the status of a new generation of comedians with professionalism and pride, earning the respect of many juniors. He contributed to the launch and establishment of KBS's representative gag program 'Gag Concert,' leading a generational shift in Korean comedy.

The funeral home has been set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and the funeral will be held as a comedian's funeral.
