Maggie Kang, the director of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ (hereafter ‘K-Demon’), chose Abby as her favorite among the members of Huntrix and Lion Boys, stating that she resembles her husband.
On the afternoon of the 20th, a sing-along screening of the Netflix film ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ was held at the Sohyang Theater, Dongseo University in Haeundae-gu, Busan, where Director Maggie Kang attended a GV (Guest Visit) and shared various stories.
The Netflix animation ‘K-Demon’, which has caused a global syndrome, tells the story of K-pop superstars Lumi, Mira, and Joy as they act as hidden heroes protecting the glamorous world behind the stage. It has not only set Netflix records but also dominated various major global music charts, including Billboard, with its OSTs.
Director Maggie Kang sincerely answered a barrage of questions, particularly when an audience member asked about her favorite member among the Huntrix members, drawing attention.
Maggie Kang responded, “My favorite character question is no longer a difficult question. It’s Mira,” and added, “I think a woman who looks different from Mira has a sharp image that is beautiful. She’s tall and cool, right? I like that she’s a tough yet soft character.”
When another audience member asked about her favorite among the Lion Boys, she said, “This is also an easy question,” and continued, “Among the Lion Boys, I like Abby the most. You can tell when you see my husband. They look a bit similar,” which earned her cheers from the audience.
The 30th Busan International Film Festival, which opened on the 17th, will run until the 26th at the Busan Cinema Center. A total of 328 films will be screened.
