Singer Shawn shared his preparations for the '815 Run', which he has been continuing for six years.
On the 5th, Shawn posted a video titled "Thank you for everything" on his personal YouTube channel 'With Shawn'.
In the video, Shawn said, "I have something I really want to say," and expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much for everything."
He then revealed that he is preparing for the 815 Run, saying, "It's so hot these days that it's scary. I feel overwhelmed about how to run 81.5 km."
In the video, Shawn appeared haggard and worn out. A subtitle read, "Don't be surprised. The reason he looks worn out is that he has lost weight preparing for the 815 Run," reassuring fans.
Shawn mentioned that he saw a comment on YouTube saying, "Just run 8.15 km now," and added, "Thanks to the support of many people, I am training every day."
The '815 Run' hosted by Shawn started with 3,000 participants in 2020 and concluded this year with 19,450 participants. Shawn revealed that there are over 100 companies participating as well, stating, "Several companies have already donated over 8.15 million won."
He recalled, "Last year, my heart rate went up to 220, and I had to pour water on my head just to run. I really couldn't breathe," and humorously added, "But after running, I performed, and then ran another 8.15 km. Am I out of my mind?"
Shawn expressed pride in his goal of building homes for 100 descendants of independence activists through the '815 Run', saying, "We have already built 19 homes."
Meanwhile, Shawn has been conducting the '815 Run' every year on Liberation Day, using the funds raised from the event to build homes for descendants of independence activists.
