A donation program that combines running and giving with singer Sean has been unveiled.
The running festival '10K CHALLENGE SEOUL', held in downtown Seoul, announced a special donation program with the donation angel Sean on the 5th.
This event, taking place on October 26 at 4 PM in the Yeouido area of Seoul, will be divided into various groups to ensure that everyone, from record-challenging runners to first-time participants, can enjoy the experience. The starting groups will be organized as follows: ▲Group A (BEST Challenge within 40 minutes) ▲Group B (BEST Challenge within 50 minutes) ▲Group C (BEST Challenge within 60 minutes) ▲Group D (First Challenge – Donation Group with Sean) ▲Group E (First Challenge).
Notably, Group D, the ‘First Challenge – Donation Group with Sean’, will run alongside Sean, who is well-known as a singer and donation runner. The total participation fee of ₩30,000,000 (thirty million won) from participants will be donated to the Rodem Tree International Alternative School of Habitat for Humanity Korea.
This donation program is significant as it allows runners to go beyond just running, conveying a positive influence on society through their participation. Participants in Group D, running with Sean, will connect their running experience with giving, creating a special completion experience.
In addition to challenging their records, the event embodies the meaning of sharing, and the donation group with singer Sean is expected to make this event even more special.
The ‘10K CHALLENGE SEOUL’ taking place on October 26 is co-hosted by MBC SPORTS+ and WORLD21HQ, and is planned as a running festival in downtown Seoul that combines music and visual production, going beyond traditional marathon events.
Unlike the usual morning marathons, this event is set to start at 4 PM on Sunday, allowing runners to experience the moment when the sky over Seoul turns to sunset while running. Notably, the section of the course at the Sogang Bridge is a famous spot where the sunset begins around 4 PM, allowing participants to enjoy the fantastic autumn scenery where the Han River and the city blend together during their run.
The course will run from Yeouido Park – KBS Headquarters – National Assembly – Sogang Bridge – Yeouido IC Intersection – National Assembly – KBS Headquarters – Yeouido Park, covering a 10km route that includes landmarks in central Seoul and along the Han River. This festival focuses on a single 10km course and aims to recruit a total of 15,000 participants. Registration will be available from 9 AM on September 9 through the official website and will close on a first-come, first-served basis.
This running festival, featuring the autumn sky, music, and festivities in downtown Seoul, aims to provide participants with records, enjoyment, and the spirit of sharing all at once.
