Actor Jung Woo-sung has signed a new advertising model contract following the controversy over his illegitimate child with model Moon Ga-bi.
According to his agency, Artist Company, Jung Woo-sung conducted a photoshoot for the virtual asset platform Bithumb on the 3rd. This is the first advertising model contract Jung Woo-sung has signed in three years since NHN Hangame in early 2022.
Jung Woo-sung became the center of controversy when it was revealed in November last year that he is the biological father of the son born to Moon Ga-bi. Moon Ga-bi announced her pregnancy in June 2023 and gave birth in March of the previous year.
Afterward, Jung Woo-sung, who attracted attention in the advertising industry by drawing in ten million viewers with the movie 'Spring in Seoul', faced speculation that his refusal of advertising contracts was due to the birth of his illegitimate child.
However, the agency dismissed this, stating, "He was too busy with his schedule to have time for advertising shoots."
In August, Jung Woo-sung completed his marriage registration with a non-celebrity woman he had been dating for a long time, and he is set to make his comeback through the Disney Plus drama 'Made in Korea'. He has officially revived his activities by conducting an advertising shoot ahead of the release of the project.
