Actress Lee Si-young revealed the reason why she has only gained 4kg in her 8th month of pregnancy.

On the 1st, a video titled “The reason for gaining +4kg at 8 months pregnant” was released on Lee Si-young's YouTube channel.

On that day, Lee Si-young shared recipes for dishes she usually makes, including tomato confit, arugula basil burrata sandwich, spicy tuna pizza, egg tteokbokki, avocado toast, honey shrimp pizza, fresh chocolate, and reishi mushroom rice.

She said, “Everything I’ve been eating this week has been diet food. In fact, I don’t want to diet and I have no reason to. I just like to eat healthily.”

She also mentioned, “I’ve always liked eating healthily, but recently my father’s health declined. The first thing I did was change all the pots, cooking tools, and rice cookers. I wanted to use organic and good ingredients. One of the things I changed was the rice. It was because of my dad, but both Jung-yoon and I are satisfied with it.”

Lee Si-young added, “I’ve been studying a lot lately. I’ve changed all my cooking methods. I think we need to maintain our health when we are healthy. These are recipes that I’m satisfied with.”

Lee Si-young married a non-celebrity businessman in 2017 and has one son, but they faced a divorce last March.

After the news of her divorce was revealed, she drew attention by announcing that she had implanted frozen embryos that were stored during her marriage without her ex-husband's consent, resulting in her second pregnancy.

At that time, she confessed her feelings, saying, “I want to bear the weight of the decision I made entirely on my own,” and “There may be many difficulties ahead, and I have thought about various possibilities, but I want to believe that my choice now is a more valuable thing despite all of that.”
