The K-POP audition program MBN ‘Under Fifteen’, which is open only to girls under the age of 15, will hold an emergency press conference on the 25th at 2 PM regarding the controversy over the sexual commercialization of children.

The press conference will be attended by the representatives of the production company, Crea Studio, including CEO Seo Hye-jin, and PDs Yong Seok-in and Lee Guk-yong, who will answer questions about the program.

‘Under Fifteen’ is a competition program aimed at discovering K-pop prodigies under the age of 15 and nurturing a new girl group. It is a fifth-generation K-POP audition that has opened the door of opportunity wide for the Alpha generation, who have chosen the path of becoming idols at an early age. A total of 59 participants from various nationalities, aged 8 to 15, will take part.

Recently, civic groups, including the Citizens' Coalition for Democratic Media (Minwonryun), issued statements expressing concerns about the sexual commercialization of children, leading to increased worries about the program.

In response, the production company Crea Studio stated, “We kindly ask you to evaluate the video directly.”
