Comedian Kim Byung-man expressed his painful feelings and made shocking claims about his ex-wife, Ms. A.
On the 25th, during the 91st episode of TV Chosun's 'Lovers of Joseon', Kim Byung-man spoke for the first time about his remarried wife, two children, and ex-wife.
Kim Byung-man described his marriage to his ex-wife as a "bottomless pit." He said, "I registered my marriage in 2010 and separated in 2012," adding, "When I looked up the address where I lived separately, it was like that. In a way, everything is my choice, so I can say it was my failure."
He continued, "I was living with my mother, but as soon as we registered our marriage, that person (ex-wife) sent my mother away," and stated, "The hardest part after marriage was the financial issue. My ex-wife demanded all financial rights, owning my public certification, my resident registration card, everything. The only thing I could see was my payment account for appearances."
He revealed, "Other accounts didn't show up on my phone, so I didn't know. It was my account, but I didn't even know the password," and added, "I reported it lost and checked again to find the password. I used a debit card. At that time, I often heard, 'You've exceeded your limit.' There, my ex-wife was using cards with limits of 20 to 30 million won and withdrawing all the cash every month."
He also said, "People always ask, 'Why did you give her your public certification?' If I didn't, I would be in pain. I kept getting calls. At that time, I really went through an emotional rollercoaster."
Moreover, he mentioned, "In 2017, when I was hospitalized in a hospital in the U.S. due to a spinal injury, she didn't come. Normally, wouldn't a wife come?" He added, "At that time, while I was wondering if I would become disabled, my ex-wife took out a life insurance policy on me. If I had died, this person would have made a fortune. This is not something that should be on 'Lovers of Joseon,' but rather in a documentary about some incident. That's the situation now," he lamented.
He then described his current wife, saying, "I feel like I met a bottle of water just taken out of the refrigerator right before a person dies in the desert. That's the kind of person she is."
Kim Byung-man expressed, "Honestly, I just wanted to hug her. It was so hard..." and added, "My love, my home... I wanted a relationship where I could be closest to my ego. (My wife) is not just 'my wife' to me, but 'home.' It's the home I want to go to... Everything I love is in that house. A woman who is one of a kind in the world."
He stated, "The ones who helped me stand up again are my wife, our daughter, and son. I get emotional when I see the kids. They saved me," expressing his gratitude once again.
Kim Byung-man divorced his ex-wife in 2023 after a long legal battle that began in 2019. The adoption of his ex-wife's daughter also received a ruling for the termination of adoption on the 8th of this month.
