The first accuser A, who claimed school violence by actress Song Ha-yoon, has refused full support for her immigration expenses.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, A left a message on an online community stating, "I have never requested reimbursement for expenses, and if I visit Korea in the future, I can attend the investigation then. In fact, the one who suffers damage in this situation is Song Ha-yoon."
A further explained, "Song Ha-yoon's side expressed it as if the cost burden is fully covered, but in reality, it is only a partial settlement. The damage I have to bear is at least six times greater than the amount that Song Ha-yoon's side is expected to support," adding, "To avoid misunderstandings, I reject this (offer) and will enter Korea at my own expense to cooperate sincerely with the investigation."
Additionally, A demanded that Song Ha-yoon's side obtain and publicly disclose materials related to the school violence incident through the education office. According to A, the administrative agency decided to keep it confidential for the reason of 'personal information protection' rather than 'document non-existence.'
A raised their voice, saying, "Let's not shift the focus; since Song Ha-yoon's side claims that 'there was no school violence or forced transfer,' we can clarify the facts through the incident materials."
A pointed out that obtaining and disclosing those documents is much cheaper than supporting their immigration expenses.
The day before, Song Ha-yoon's side announced that they would cover all expenses, including airfare, hotel fees, and transportation costs, to ensure A returns quickly to undergo an investigation.
They added, "We are already prepared to verify the facts regarding various claims made by A after their entry into Korea."
Recently, A stated that Song Ha-yoon's side demanded a false confession and public apology from them. A also mentioned that they would file additional complaints against Song Ha-yoon for false accusation, defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, defamation of character under the Criminal Act, and coercion. Furthermore, they indicated that they would raise issues regarding defamation through publications and violations of attorney ethics with their law firm.
The controversy over Song Ha-yoon's school violence became known through JTBC's 'Incident Chief' in April last year. At that time, A claimed to have been assaulted by three classmates, including Song Ha-yoon, during high school, and that they were subjected to forced transfer as a result. Song Ha-yoon's side denied the allegations, stating, "It is completely false, and we have never met."
Currently, Song Ha-yoon's side has filed a lawsuit against A for defamation, obstruction of business, and coercion.
