Singer and actor Cha Eun-woo's last photoshoot before his enlistment has been revealed.
In the photoshoot released by 'Esquire' magazine, Cha Eun-woo transformed with a short hairstyle on set, showcasing a new charm that had not been seen before.
Staff from Cha Eun-woo's agency wore matching printed shirts featuring a photo of him as a baby with the phrase 'clothes to send (Eun-woo) to the army.' This design was similar to one that Yoon San-ha posted on his Instagram at the end of July.
In an interview with 'Esquire', Cha Eun-woo said, “There is still some time left until enlistment, but today is my last official schedule,” and added, “I arrived at the shooting location and only realized after getting off the elevator that the staff had all worn matching t-shirts as a farewell gesture. I still can’t believe it.”
During the photoshoot, Cha Eun-woo also attempted a transformation with a short hairstyle. He said, “I couldn’t cut my hair freely due to various activities like advertisements. Since this is my last project, I wanted to leave a cut with short hair. Moreover, since it’s a photoshoot, I thought I should show a bold side that I hadn’t been able to show before.”
Although Cha Eun-woo has enlisted, there are still projects where fans can see him. He mentioned, “I have been planning and preparing works for 1-2 years so that fans won’t feel my absence,” and added, “The movie 'First Ride', which captures the friendship and youth episodes of friends starring alongside actors like Kang Ha-neul, Kim Young-kwang, Kang Young-seok, and Han Sun-hwa, is set to be released soon.”
His Netflix series 'The Wonderfulls', where he plays a principled civil servant with slightly lower social skills, has also completed production and is awaiting release.
The September 2025 issue of 'Esquire', featuring Cha Eun-woo on the cover and pages, will be available for purchase at bookstores starting the 21st. It can also be found on the Esquire Korea website.
