Actor Kim Ji-soo is making a fresh start at Early Bird Entertainment.

On the 20th, Early Bird Entertainment announced the exclusive contract with Kim Ji-soo, stating, "We will do our best to support actor Kim Ji-soo, who has an unchanging presence and delicate acting skills, so that he can showcase his true value in various works."

Early Bird Entertainment, where Kim Ji-soo has found a new home, is home to next-generation stars like Jin Se-yeon, Kim Jae-yong, Yang Hyuk, and Lee Si-a, as well as actors who have built a solid filmography.

Meanwhile, Kim Ji-soo has caused controversy three times related to drinking. In July 2000, he was caught driving without a license with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.175% in a drunken state, and in October 2010, he was charged with hit-and-run after causing an accident while driving under the influence, resulting in a fine of 10 million won.

At that time, Kim Ji-soo expressed, "I feel very sorry and heavy-hearted as an actor living on the love of viewers for appearing in such a bad light," and added, "I have no words other than to deeply reflect on the criticism and blame for my wrongdoings and to be cautious and repent so that the same thing does not happen again."

In 2018, he also faced controversy for arriving 40 minutes late to a press interview for the film "Perfect Strangers" while still under the influence of alcohol, unilaterally canceling the day's schedule.

At that time, he apologized in a statement, saying, "It was a long-awaited film, and I was happy to hear many good reviews, so I went to the after-party with a joyful heart, but my condition deteriorated," and added, "I am ashamed that I could not show professional behavior in front of reporters due to unexpected circumstances. I also apologize for causing trouble ahead of the release of a work that contains the hard work of many staff members."
