Actress Kim Tae-hee shared her real-life parenting stories.
On the 20th, tvN's entertainment show ‘You Quiz on the Block (hereafter ‘You Quiz’)’ featured a video titled ‘What happens if you attend university in place of Kim Tae-hee? Including parenting stories with her husband Rain as told by Kim Tae-hee’.
Kim Tae-hee recalled, “I really shouldn’t have done this, but I had someone attend for me when I was in college. These days, it’s so strict that you could get caught.”
She continued, “I asked a friend for help, and when the professor called out ‘Kim Tae-hee,’ my friend raised their hand and answered, which was so embarrassing. People around were whispering, ‘Is that Kim Tae-hee?’ and it caused quite a stir.”
In response, Yoo Jae-suk said, “Your friend must have felt a bit bad for standing in for you,” to which Kim Tae-hee added, “My friend was a little upset. I felt sorry.”
Yoo Jae-suk mentioned, “Is Rain doing well?” referring to Kim Tae-hee’s husband. Kim Tae-hee and Rain got married in January 2017 and have two daughters.
To this, Kim Tae-hee replied, “He’s doing well. Today is a special day as I have to leave for work early, so I helped prepare breakfast for the kids.”
Kim Tae-hee expressed, “Before coming here, it was really a war. There were so many supplies and homework to prepare for my two daughters from the morning.”
She added, “As soon as I returned from New York, I ordered the supplies three days in advance. I received a message saying they would be delayed, and I was so frustrated that I told my family, ‘We need to buy this and deliver it to school.’ In the end, my husband found it at Dongmyo.”
On another note, Kim Tae-hee commented on her appearance, saying, “I liked my appearance the most in my thirties. As I age, I feel like I’ll start to dislike more parts of myself. But I guess I have to accept it. I hope people see the wrinkles I got from smiling a lot in a positive light.”
