Lee Do, a social studies instructor who appeared on Netflix's 'I Want to Date Even Though I'm a Virgin', revealed the reason for stopping his lectures.
On the 11th, a video titled 'Lee Do T's Pleasant Update Talk ♥' was posted on the official website of the online education platform Etoos.
In the video, Lee Do stated, “My health started to decline this year,” and “Last year, I was receiving treatment and getting IV drips while continuing, but this time my cornea worsened, and I became unable to look at the monitor for even a second, making it impossible to write teaching materials.”
He continued, “The doctor said, ‘At this rate, you will go blind,’ and ‘You must not look at the monitor at all,’ but I had been trying to push myself to write the materials, and eventually, I reached a point where I really couldn’t see well.”
Lee Do, who felt scared due to his poor vision, shared, “I also went through a mentally tough time,” and “I had to keep my promises to my students, so I continued filming against the hospital's advice, but ultimately decided to stop my lectures, and now I am in recovery, which is why I can come out like this.”
Regarding the rumors that the lecture suspension was due to filming for 'I Want to Date Even Though I'm a Virgin', he dismissed it, saying, “The filming took place last September, and since then, I think it was just editing time; I haven’t done anything as a participant.”
Lee Do explained, “I am currently in recovery; my cornea hasn’t fully returned to normal, but I can manage daily life without issues,” adding, “Both my body and mind have become somewhat healthy, allowing me to talk in front of you and participate in filming.”
Meanwhile, 'I Want to Date Even Though I'm a Virgin', in which Lee Do appeared, is a makeover dating reality show that helps inexperienced virgins with their first love, and it concluded on the 29th of last month.
