On the official Instagram account of ‘Documentary 3 Days’, a post reads, “The promise of August 15, 2015. ‘Let’s meet here on August 15, 2025.’ So we decided to head there.” This has raised expectations.
The current affairs program ended three years ago, but it has recently gained significant attention as the promise made by two female university students and a camera director 10 years ago has been re-highlighted in online communities and social media.
During the Andong Station episode of ‘Documentary 3 Days’, two female university students traveling by train told the camera director, “Please make a documentary. In 10 years.” The camera director responded, “Will I still be doing this then?” The student replied, “Let’s meet here on August 15, 2025,” and the camera director said, “Okay, it’s a promise,” as they linked their pinky fingers.
The camera director also posted on social media on the 28th of last month, “The day we promised 10 years ago is coming. Are we going? Or not?”
