Comedian Kim Byung-man's adopted daughter has filed a lawsuit claiming, "Kim Byung-man has another illegitimate child," seeking confirmation of biological parentage. The agency responded, calling it "an unreasonable claim."

On the 7th, Kim Byung-man's agency stated to Maeil Business Star Today, "The results of the lawsuit regarding the adoption of his daughter, who was adopted as a legitimate child, will be announced on the 8th. It seems that this lawsuit was filed with unreasonable claims in this situation." They added, "After the marriage breakdown with his ex-wife A, Kim Byung-man had two children with his fiancée," acknowledging the existence of the children.

According to a report by the online entertainment media Ten Asia, Kim Byung-man's adopted daughter, B, has filed a lawsuit against him at the Seoul Family Court for 'confirmation of biological parentage.'

B claims, "It appears that Kim Byung-man had two children with another woman before the legal termination of his marriage to A. These children are likely to be Kim Byung-man's illegitimate children," and requested the court to "order a DNA test to confirm whether the two children are indeed his biological children due to inheritance and other interests."

Kim Byung-man registered his marriage with A, who is seven years older, in 2010, and adopted B, A's daughter from a previous marriage, as his legitimate child. The couple's relationship deteriorated, and they began living separately and filed for divorce in 2019.

In December 2022, the Seoul Family Court ruled, "The marriage between the two has broken down to an irreparable extent," and granted the divorce. The property division ratio was determined to be 75% for Kim Byung-man and 25% for A, and it was ruled that Kim Byung-man would receive half ownership of the property, change the insurance policyholder to himself, and return nearly 1 billion won. A appealed, but it was dismissed, and her appeal to the Supreme Court was also rejected, finalizing the divorce in 2023.

However, the legal relationship between Kim Byung-man and his adopted daughter B remained intact. Kim Byung-man has filed for the termination of the adoption three times, but two of those were dismissed. The remaining case is scheduled for a ruling on the 8th.

Meanwhile, Kim Byung-man is set to hold a wedding with his non-celebrity girlfriend, who is younger than him, on September 20 at the Sevit Island rooftop over the Han River in Seoul. He is also reportedly in discussions to appear on the TV Chosun variety show 'Joseon's Love Fool.'
