As G-Dragon holds his first solo world tour concert in 8 years, ticket fraud has occurred in Hong Kong, with damages exceeding 100 million won.

According to Hong Kong's Ming Pao and Sing Tao Daily on the 7th, over 30 reports of ticket fraud related to G-Dragon's concert, scheduled for August 8-10 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, have been filed with the Hong Kong police. The total amount of damages reached 610,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 107 million won).

One victim purchased two tickets for G-Dragon's concert through Facebook for 8,800 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 1.55 million won). The original price of the tickets was 2,399 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 420,000 won). However, after transferring the money, the scammer repeatedly demanded additional amounts, claiming a deposit was needed. Feeling compelled to secure the tickets, the victim transferred over 180,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 31 million won) in three transactions.

As G-Dragon's concert is being held in Hong Kong for the first time in 8 years, it has garnered significant attention. Tickets sold out immediately upon release, and it is reported that scalpers are selling them at 2 to 5 times the original price. Notably, on the last day of the concert, VIP seats are being sold for 120,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 21 million won).

Previously, last month in Taiwan, a scalper who sold tickets for G-Dragon and BLACKPINK's concerts was arrested after making 900 million won. The scalpers sold tickets originally priced at 800 Taiwan dollars (approximately 37,000 won) for 9,800 Taiwan dollars (approximately 460,000 won), and tickets priced at 8,980 Taiwan dollars (approximately 420,000 won) for a minimum of 55,000 Taiwan dollars (approximately 2.58 million won).

As news spread that about 300 scalper ticket buyers successfully entered G-Dragon's concert, fans protested collectively at the Taipei City Cultural Bureau. In response, the organizers implemented strict ID verification procedures, and authorities have begun an investigation.

G-Dragon is currently holding his first solo world tour concert 'We Born Man's' after 8 years. This performance, which started in March at the Goyang Sports Complex, has been completed in Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, and Australia, and will continue in Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Hong Kong, as well as in Newark, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Paris, France.
