‘Cheongdam International High School 2’ is gaining popularity in Asia following Season 1.
According to the weekly chart released by Viu, Asia's largest regional OTT platform, for the fourth week of July (July 21-27), ‘Cheongdam International High School 2’ (English title: Bitch x Rich 2) ranked 1st in Indonesia, 2nd in the Philippines, 4th in Hong Kong, 5th in Malaysia, and 6th in Thailand, continuing its popularity.
IDN Times, a leading digital media in Indonesia, stated, “Season 2 captivates viewers with strong tension from the very first episode,” adding, “The short runtime, fast-paced development, and the emergence of new characters enhance the drama's enjoyment.”
‘Cheongdam International High School 2’ is a high-teen psychological thriller centered around the class structure and power games set in the elite Cheongdam International High School. Following the shocking murder incident in Season 1, the collapse of order, the newly revealed truths, and unexpected plot twists combine to provide an immersive experience that surpasses Season 1.
Previously, Season 1, which aired in 2023, also achieved high rankings in various Asian regions, including 2nd in Indonesia and 4th in Singapore on the Viu weekly chart. Season 2 has already surpassed those records as it approaches its conclusion and is garnering even more intense local interest.
Meanwhile, Viu is a regional OTT platform under Hong Kong's PCCW that showcases popular Korean content in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, currently offering titles such as ‘My Girlfriend is a Gumiho’.
