Actress Im Soo-jung mentioned the drama 'Sorry, I Love You'.
On the 29th, Im Soo-jung appeared on the YouTube channel 'Theo' in 'Salon Drip 2'.
On that day, Jang Do-yeon mentioned the currently resurging drama 'Sorry, I Love You'. Im Soo-jung said, "I am so thankful. It's so nice." She continued, "It's a really old drama. It must have aired over 20 years ago. But the MZ generation loves it so much that they are looking it up, so I am really grateful and happy," she laughed.
When Jang Do-yeon asked, "Did you feel the popularity back then?" Im Soo-jung replied, "Not really. I was confused. Since everyone kept saying 'It's so good, it's so good,' I wanted to hide a little. But now that people are loving it again, I am really happy."
Jang Do-yeon mentioned the line from Cha Mu-hyuk in the drama, "Do you want to eat? Do you want to die with me?" and asked, "What was your reaction when you first saw the line?"
Im Soo-jung responded, "At first, I thought, 'What kind of line is this?' But I had no idea that So Ji-sub would act with that tone on set. I thought he would just do it in a basic tone, but when the emotions came up and he started shouting, I think I felt sad because of that." She added, "You can feel that 'Cha Mu-hyuk really likes Song Eun-chae,' but because of the unavoidable situation, he can't express it properly, which made me sad."
Meanwhile, Im Soo-jung recalled the first time she received the script for 'Sorry, I Love You' and said, "I cried a lot. The title itself is a completely different story, right? It was a sad ending for the male and female leads, which is not easy to choose in a romance genre drama."
She continued, "That ending was planned from the beginning. We filmed the ending first. It was sad to know the conclusion while filming. But we all loved that ending. It was an ending that showed 'they were deeply in love,' even if it couldn't be deeply realized in reality."
