Soul vocalist Greg Riva Priester opened up about the deep wounds he has endured in the past and his healing process.
Greg appeared on the 'Morning Yard' Tuesday guest corner broadcast on the 22nd, where he passionately sang the song 'I Miss You,' which he performed during his participation in Mnet's 'Superstar K6.'
Greg's version of 'I Miss You' received a warm response in 2014 and was officially released as a digital single.
During the broadcast, he shared, "I came to Korea in 2007. I worked as an English teacher and started my singing career in 2012," adding, "It was really tough working as a math teacher in the U.S. While dramas can create a fantasy, it’s not easy when there are students with firearms. I cried every day at home and was eventually advised to take a break."
He also mentioned the heartbreaking experience of losing his fiancée, whom he had been with since he was 18, in a car accident. He said, "As I researched Korea and went through many interviews to get a job as a teacher, I felt that Korea was warmer compared to other countries. That’s why I decided to come to Korea."
Additionally, he added, "Since coming to Korea, I have been able to heal a lot of my wounds, and Korea feels like my first home."
