The production team of the Netflix original series ‘Trigger’ has canceled the live stream of its fan event.
A representative from Netflix stated on the 21st to Maeil Business Star Today, “The live stream that was scheduled for the 22nd has been canceled. However, the offline event with fans who registered in advance will proceed as planned.”
‘Trigger’ is a gun disaster action thriller that depicts the story of two men who take up arms for their own reasons amidst a backdrop where illegal firearms of unknown origin are delivered and gun incidents continuously occur in South Korea, a country known for its strict gun control. Actors Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang star in the lead roles.
Netflix was set to hold a fan event called ‘Trigger Talk and Shot’ on the 22nd at 7:30 PM, featuring Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang, and it was supposed to be live-streamed through Naver.
However, Naver Entertainment announced on the 21st, “This live stream has been canceled at the request of the organizing party.”

While Netflix did not provide specific reasons for the cancellation of the live stream, some speculate that it may be a response to the recent Incheon shooting incident that occurred on the 20th, given that ‘Trigger’ is a gun disaster action film.
On the previous day, around 9:30 PM, a shocking incident occurred in an apartment in Songdo-dong, Incheon, where a man in his 60s, referred to as A, used a homemade firearm to kill his son, a man in his 30s, referred to as B.
A, who fled immediately after the crime, was apprehended by the police and transported back to Incheon.
