
The Netflix K-series ‘Bokssak Sogassuda’, which touched viewers around the world, won the Grand Prize at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards.
‘Bokssak Sogassuda’ received the highest honor, the Grand Prize, at the ‘4th Blue Dragon Series Awards’ held on the afternoon of the 18th at Paradise City in Incheon. It also won three awards including Best Actress (IU) and Best Supporting Actress (Yum Hye-ran).
The Best Drama Award went to ‘Severe Trauma Center’. ‘Severe Trauma Center’ also achieved a remarkable feat by winning three awards including Best Actor (Ju Ji-hoon) and Best New Actor (Choo Young-woo).
The Best Entertainment Program Award went to ‘Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War’.
The production team stated, “It was an honor to convey our dreams and love for cooking,” and expressed their ambition, saying, “We experienced something dreamlike. It was possible because of the 300 staff members. We will showcase more delicious restaurants and excellent chefs in Season 2.”

The Best Actor and Actress in a Drama were awarded to Ju Ji-hoon (‘Severe Trauma Center’) and IU (‘Bokssak Sogassuda’) respectively.
In particular, IU expressed her heartfelt gratitude with a trembling voice, saying, “When I first received the proposal for ‘Bokssak Sogassuda’, during filming, while waiting for it to air, and even now, it feels like the greatest pride of my life,” and added, “I respect and thank all the Aesun who lived their own lives more vividly than anyone else in a world that forced them to live vaguely, and all the Geummyung who have planted and nurtured their ambitions with determination all over the world.”
The Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Drama were awarded to Lee Kwang-soo (‘Bad Relationship’) and Yum Hye-ran (‘Bokssak Sogassuda’), while the Best New Actor and Actress were awarded to Choo Young-woo (‘Severe Trauma Center’) and Kim Min-ha (‘A Week Before I Die’), respectively.
In the entertainment category, ‘Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War’ won the Best Program Award, while Kian84 (‘Dae Hwan Jang Kian Jang’) and Lee Soo-ji (‘SNL Korea Seasons 6, 7’) won the Best Male and Female Entertainer Awards, respectively.
Kian84 expressed his nervousness about giving an acceptance speech in front of the actors, saying, “I sincerely thank everyone who worked with me on ‘Dae Hwan Jang Kian Jang’, and I will do my best to make the sequel enjoyable.”
Lee Soo-ji expressed her gratitude to her ‘SNL Korea’ family and colleagues, stating, “Over 200 family members are staying up all night to bring you small smiles and more complete laughter. We will work even harder in the future.”
