Broadcaster Pungja has responded to the controversy surrounding ‘Ttoganjip’, the top restaurant in Yeosu.

On the 18th, the ‘Ttoganjip’ team posted on their community board, “[Live] We have met the parties in Yeosu directly. We will reveal it tomorrow at 6:30 PM.”

Recently, a video was released on the YouTube channel ‘Unusually Today’ featuring a female YouTuber introducing a Yeosu restaurant. Among the restaurants, one was selected as the top, ‘Ttoganjip’.

The YouTuber received permission to film the food with only her face showing, ordered two servings, and filmed from a corner, yet she was treated poorly.

After introducing the menu, the YouTuber turned off the camera and was eating when she suddenly turned the camera back on. The restaurant owner expressed frustration, saying, “Our restaurant doesn’t just have one lady coming. Hurry up and eat. If you keep this up, it’s endless. It’s infinite,” to which the YouTuber replied, “It doesn’t take long to eat.” The owner then insisted, “I need to seat reserved customers. Sorry, but we don’t do that.”

The flustered YouTuber said, “I’ve only been here for 20 minutes. Didn’t I order two servings?” while laughing, but the owner retorted, “So? With that 20,000 won. You can just eat and go.”

After the video was released, it spread across social media and online communities, leading to a growing controversy, and on the 17th, the city of Yeosu announced that they would conduct administrative guidance, including service training and hygiene inspections for the establishment.
