Broadcaster Yoo Byung-jae has donated 10 million won to support menstrual products for vulnerable women and youth in South Korea.

Since 2019, Yoo Byung-jae has been connected with the G Foundation and has donated a total of 160 million won so far. He has been consistently practicing sharing for vulnerable groups in South Korea by participating in various support projects, including providing hygiene products for young women, supporting single mothers, and psychological treatment for abused children.

This donation will be used to address the issue of menstrual product shortages for vulnerable women and youth and will be utilized in the health and hygiene support projects conducted by the G Foundation. Menstrual product kits consisting of sanitary pads, feminine hygiene products, underwear, and pouches will be produced and delivered to vulnerable women and youth in South Korea.

Yoo Byung-jae stated, “I started supporting with the hope that no one would be hurt or marginalized due to basic hygiene issues,” and added, “Although it is a small gesture, I hope it will be warmly delivered to young women in need.”

Park Chung-kwan, the representative of the G Foundation, said, “Mr. Yoo Byung-jae's continuous sharing provides a valuable opportunity to give practical help to young women struggling with period poverty,” and expressed, “I sincerely thank you for your ongoing interest and warm actions, and I will responsibly continue the project to ensure that the donor's intentions are well conveyed on the ground.”

Since 2019, the G Foundation has been carrying out health and hygiene support projects for young women, working to address the gaps in health and hygiene through not only providing menstrual product kits but also offering underwear, remodeling hygiene facilities, and implementing gender-sensitive education and emotional support programs.
