Kyoka, a dancer from Osaka, graced the cover of the August issue of the fashion magazine 'Elle'.
In this cover photoshoot with Loewe, Kyoka showcased her unique strong energy and unexpected charm.
In an interview conducted after the photoshoot, Kyoka mentioned the recent intense interest surrounding her. She smiled brightly and said, "I haven't thought about it," adding, "Generally, I tend to wear or use things that are considered unique without hesitation. Is that what makes it look like confidence?"
When asked if there was a moment when she realized that even a dancer with a martial arts background like capoeira cannot rely solely on technique, she replied, "Technique is important, but what's more important is the heart." She expressed her love and sincerity for dance, stating, "Humans are not robots. Because we are human, I believe we can express ourselves in diverse and abundant ways."

She continued to share her experiences of maintaining her 'Kyoka-ness' amidst cultural misunderstandings and prejudices on various stages, saying, "Everyone has different ways of motivation, but I find that I dance better when I am enjoying myself rather than when I am trying to win." She also revealed her strong and resilient inner self by stating, "Liking and believing in yourself ultimately creates confidence, and I think that leads to results."
When asked about her impression of the city of Seoul, she replied, "It feels like a vibrant city," and listed her favorite foods as "clam stew, cold noodles, knife-cut noodles, and samgyetang."
The interview and photoshoot, which reveal Kyoka's daily life and honesty as she travels around the world, can be found in the August issue of 'Elle', on the official website, and in a YouTube film on the Elle Korea YouTube channel.
