Actor Kim Sung-oh talked about the aftereffects he experienced due to extreme dieting.
On the 14th, a video titled "'Gapyeong Son-in-law' Lim Hyung-jun recommends local restaurants from construction restaurants to Sook's house!!" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Kim Sook TV'.
The video features actors Lim Hyung-jun and Kim Sung-oh as guests spending time with Kim Sook.
Lim Hyung-jun asked Kim Sung-oh, "Did you lose some weight?" and mentioned, "You were a bit chubby during 'Fine: Country Bumpkins'." In response, Kim Sung-oh shared, "I didn't intentionally lose weight; I had surgery on both shoulders."
Kim Sung-oh, who particularly mentioned that he had a rotator cuff tear, added, "I've been active since I was young, so my rotator cuff wore out." Due to the injury, he couldn't exercise and acted while a bit heavier during 'Fine: Country Bumpkins'.
Kim Sung-oh, who lost weight down to 56kg at a height of 181cm for the movie 'Waiting for You', shared, "There was one uncomfortable thing; my voice echoed in my ears. When I went to an ENT, the doctor didn't even examine me and asked, 'Have you lost weight rapidly recently?'" revealing his experience due to extreme dieting.
He continued, "There is a thin tube in the ear called the Eustachian tube, and the fat there also disappeared, making it all flabby," and added, "He said there was nothing to prescribe, and that if I eat well and rest, it should be fine within a week."
Meanwhile, Kim Sung-oh will appear in the Disney+ original 'Fine: Country Bumpkins', set to be released on the 16th.
