Actor Gong Myung visited Uganda in Africa as a World Vision ambassador, spreading a positive influence.

On the 13th, KBS 1TV's 'Love Across the Sea Season 4' featured Gong Myung visiting Karamoja in Uganda. He met children in Karamoja, where the issue of child poverty has become increasingly serious due to reduced rainfall caused by the climate crisis.

Gong Myung directly observed the lives of children who cannot attend school and wish to eat at least one meal a day by panning for gold by the river or breaking stones in a quarry. He expressed his sorrow, saying, "Children did not choose poverty and hunger," and asked, "How can we alleviate the hardships and struggles of these children, even just a little?"

Appointed as an ambassador for the international relief and development NGO World Vision in May last year, Gong Myung stated, "I want to continue to stand by marginalized children and be a source of strength for them." He contributed donations to support youth care programs, emergency crisis self-reliance preparation for young people, and drinking water support projects in Bangladesh, extending a helping hand both domestically and internationally.

In March of this year, he participated in the '2025 Give a Nice Day' campaign alongside Irene, Yoon So-hee, Jung Geon-joo, and Choi Hee-jin, advocating for the protection of the ordinary days of children whose lives have been disrupted.

Gong Myung is actively engaging with the public not only as a World Vision ambassador but also as an actor. He has demonstrated a wide range of acting skills and the ability to portray diverse characters through works such as 'A Week Before I Die', 'Please Stop Alcohol', and 'The Square', showcasing his strength as a leading actor.

In May, he successfully held his first solo fan meeting in Korea. Expanding his territory both inside and outside of his works, Gong Myung is set to release the Netflix film 'The History of Confession'. There is growing interest and anticipation for the youth story he will convey as the mysterious transfer student 'Han Yoon-seok'.
