Former announcer and broadcaster Park Eun-young has revealed that she is expecting her second child through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
On the 11th, a video titled ‘I’m 44 years old... I’m having a second child, the behind-the-scenes of IVF that even my acquaintances didn’t know!’ was posted on her YouTube channel ‘Anamorna Park Eun-young’.
Park Eun-young began by saying, “I hope to provide some comfort and courage to those who are also struggling with advanced maternal age like me.”
She continued, “As of the time of filming, I am 11 weeks pregnant,” adding, “The reason I haven’t disclosed this until now is that I am considered to be of advanced maternal age. In the past, I would have been too old to have a late child. I am approaching menopause soon,” she joked.
Park Eun-young explained that she chose IVF due to her age, stating, “In the first month, I went to the hospital after getting the injection, and they told me I had 0 eggs. Even after going again, there wasn’t much change. After collecting eggs for 5 months, I gathered 9 embryos and started the implantation. I began in April, and by the end of that month, I succeeded in getting pregnant.”
She added, “Based on my morning sickness, I think it’s a girl. Because I am of advanced maternal age, I am earnestly hoping for a normal outcome.”
Meanwhile, Park Eun-young married a businessman 3 years her junior in 2019 and welcomed her first son in 2021.
