Broadcaster Lee Hye-young congratulated her ex-husband Lee Sang-min on his remarriage.
On the 3rd, a video titled “Chae Jung-an X Lee Hye-young X Lee Ji-hye | The stories we couldn't tell on air, let's reveal everything today | But.. can we be this open..?” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Chae Jung-an TV’.
On that day, Lee Ji-hye mentioned her connection with Lee Hye-young, saying, “I saw our group Shap before their debut.” In response, Chae Jung-an pointed out that Lee Sang-min, Lee Hye-young's ex-husband, produced Shap, saying, “You can't help but know them because (Hye-young) sister's ex…”
To this, Lee Hye-young said, “It’s all tangled up,” and added, “I remember what Lee Sang-min said back then. He said that a girl who sings really well and is pretty finally came to Shap. He didn’t show it to you, but I thought the singing was amazing. I thought this group would make it.”
Lee Ji-hye said, “I’m only saying this now, but I thought I wasn’t loved by you and Sang-min oppa back then. I thought I was lacking. Sang-min oppa doesn’t express it. So I thought he didn’t like me.” Lee Hye-young jokingly replied, “I think he didn’t express it much to me either.”
There was also a discussion about Lee Sang-min's recent remarriage. Lee Sang-min and Lee Hye-young got married in 2004 after an 8-year relationship but divorced the following year. Recently, Lee Sang-min remarried a non-celebrity who is 10 years younger. Lee Hye-young married a businessman who is one year older than her in 2011.
Lee Hye-young has openly talked about her marriage and divorce with Lee Sang-min on broadcasts. As the MC of MBN's entertainment program ‘Dolsingles’, Lee Hye-young has honestly shared, “I didn’t meet anyone for three years after my divorce. I wasn’t living with a clear mind. I went through a very difficult time with mixed feelings of guilt towards my mom and the gaze of others.”
