‘Hanil Top Ten Show’ has ranked first in viewership ratings for entertainment programs across all channels on Tuesdays for 13 consecutive weeks.

The MBN entertainment program ‘Hanil Top Ten Show’, aired on the 24th, recorded a peak viewership rating of 6.4% and a nationwide rating of 5.5% (according to Nielsen Korea). It has maintained the top spot in viewership ratings among all Tuesday entertainment programs aired on terrestrial, general programming, and cable channels for 13 weeks in a row, making Tuesday nights lively with songs and excitement.

The episode, themed ‘Turns Out to Be a Couple Party’, featured the composer ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’, who is more famous than the singers with over 1,300 registered copyright songs, along with Kim Mi-ryeo and Jeong Kyung-mi, who are active as the sub-unit ‘Bangul Sisters’, and the 37-year veteran Hyun-dang, who performed duets with ‘Active Singer 1’ and ‘Active Singer 2’, as well as ‘Burning Trotman’ Son Tae-jin and Shin Seong.

In the first stage, ‘Sibling Couple Party Battle’, Jeon Yu-jin and ‘Bangul Sisters’ faced off against Park Seo-jin and ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’. Jeon Yu-jin transformed into the youngest of the ‘Bangul Sisters’ and shocked everyone by revealing a secret about her birth. She then humorously improvised by stating that “the father of one drop (Jeong Kyung-mi) is Han Jang-sik, the father of two drops is Du Bong-hwi, and the name of the father of three drops is Sebastian.”

‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’ was the first to contact Park Seo-jin when he became the champion of ‘Active King of Singers 2’, proving their close relationship by saying, “We cried together while celebrating the championship.” While having a meal together, Park Seo-jin and ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’ created a beautiful harmony with the song ‘Because of You’, which they made on the spot. Jeon Yu-jin and ‘Bangul Sisters’ performed ‘Lady of Seoul’, bringing a delightful and energetic stage, securing their first victory.

In the ‘Turns Out to Be a Budding Competition’, Shin Seung-tae and Kim Tae-woong, as well as Lyn and Hwan-hee, had a big match. Shin Seung-tae praised Kim Tae-woong, saying, “Your voice is clear and you sing so well,” and captivated everyone with his performance using the song ‘Compass’. Lyn and Hwan-hee shared behind-the-scenes stories about Hwan-hee’s girlfriend and Lyn’s emotional reaction when she saw Hwan-hee participating in ‘Active King of Singers 2’, bringing laughter. The two performed ‘Samo’, which Hwan-hee showcased in ‘Active King of Singers 2’, completing their first-ever Trot duet stage with delicate emotions, winning the match.

Shin Seong and Byeol Sarang faced off against Jin Hae-seong and Kim Da-hyun in the ‘Business Couple Battle’. Kim Da-hyun humorously remarked, “Jin Hae-seong feels like a sea creature. He loves compliments, enjoys eating, and gets sulky easily,” showcasing their playful chemistry. The two transformed into agents executing a mission during their performance of ‘Love is Also for Me’, demonstrating solid teamwork. Choosing ‘Omega 3’, Shin Seong and Byeol Sarang raised the excitement with their comedic and cheerful singing, even making Hwan-hee smile, but Jin Hae-seong and Kim Da-hyun emerged victorious.

In the ‘Explosive View Count Couple Battle’, Enok and Aki, along with Kang Moon-kyung and Hyun-dang, took the stage. Veteran Hyun-dang, who has been in the industry for 37 years, expressed gratitude for being part of a wonderful program leading Trot, and Kang Moon-kyung shared her realization of the immense view count for her song ‘Night of Taejongdae’. Enok and Aki challenged their first duet stage on ‘Top Ten Show’, proving the fantastic harmony of emotions and voices with ‘Daejeon Station Blues’, which holds special meaning for Enok. Kang Moon-kyung and Hyun-dang presented the rich taste of traditional Trot with ‘I Gave You My Heart’, but they lost the victory.

In the ‘Your Song, My Song Battle’, Park Seo-jin summoned Kim Da-hyun, saying there’s a song he really wants to sing. Park Seo-jin expressed his desire to sing Kim Da-hyun’s ‘Compliment Whale’, showcasing his adorable dance skills that have improved significantly. Kim Da-hyun completed Park Seo-jin’s song ‘Father’s Sea’ with a deeply emotional performance, moving Lyn to tears. Park Seo-jin also praised Kim Da-hyun, saying, “I feel embarrassed for requesting a battle since Kim Da-hyun is so good,” but Kim Da-hyun managed to secure the victory over Park Seo-jin.

In the song battle featuring ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’, Mai Jin, Kim Tae-woong, and Jeon Yu-jin hinted at an emotional big match. Notably, ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’ revealed that “the monthly royalties could buy beef for about 200 staff members of ‘Top Ten Show’,” which elicited cheers. Mai Jin showcased charismatic stage manners using a tie with ‘Stiff’, while Kim Tae-woong proved his deep emotional expression beyond his age with ‘Flower Road Life’.

Lyn humorously commented on Kim Tae-woong’s song, saying, “Oh no, I think I’m going through menopause,” causing laughter once again. Jeon Yu-jin expressed, “I received comfort every time I was struggling,” conveying solace and empathy with ‘Thank You for Life’, while Mai Jin, Kim Tae-woong, and Jeon Yu-jin ended in a draw, earning a new song from ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’.

In the ‘Male Friend vs. Female Friend Battle’, Son Tae-jin and Mai Jin, along with Choi Soo-ho and Kim Hye-yul, heated things up. Choi Soo-ho, accompanied by the beautiful Seoul National University female friend Kim Hye-yul, emphasized, “She’s my only female friend,” and to prove it, a ‘lie detector’ was brought in. When asked, “If you confess, would you be willing to accept it?” Choi Soo-ho replied, “No,” but it was revealed to be a lie, leaving him embarrassed.

On the other hand, when Son Tae-jin was asked, “What if Mai Jin confesses?” he replied, “Sure,” and the result was true, amplifying the excitement. Son Tae-jin and Mai Jin delivered a perfect performance with ‘Lucky Charm’, resembling a real team, while Choi Soo-ho and Kim Hye-yul presented a stage with deep resonance of traditional music with ‘Gasi-o’, but they ended up losing to Son Tae-jin and Mai Jin.

‘Bangul Sisters’ called out Kang Moon-kyung and Son Tae-jin for a ‘Selfish Battle’, throwing laughter bombs. The two drops shyly stated that if they won the battle, “If we hug, it feels like we have to get married, so we’ll just hold hands,” but one drop emphasized, “I’ll go for a hug,” leaving Kang Moon-kyung flustered.

‘Bangul Sisters’ expressed their desire to diet through Trot emotions with ‘Saltaryeong’. Son Tae-jin showcased a rich stage with his deep bass in ‘Only You Remain’, moving ‘Turns Out to Be in a Coma’ to say, “I feel like I’m going to cry.” Kang Moon-kyung passionately sang ‘Is This Okay?’ with detailed emotional control, but contrary to the hopes of the ‘Bangul Sisters’ who wanted to fulfill their desires, it ended in a draw, concluding with a traditional Korean circle dance.

Finally, Shin Seong and Byeol Sarang faced off with Hyun-dang’s song, and Shin Seong chose ‘Kkeol Kkeol Kkeol’, leading a lively performance in his style that united everyone. Byeol Sarang brought out the deep traditional sensitivity with ‘Living’, but ultimately lost to Shin Seong.
