New artist KISNUE is presenting their first single after joining Magic Strawberry Sound.
KISNUE will release the digital single ‘miminari’ today (28th) at 6 PM through various music streaming sites.
‘miminari’ is a song that combines intensely layered guitar riffs with a retro vibe, reflecting both the light and shadows of youth through its rough texture and soft tones. KISNUE hinted, “I wanted to tell the story of our lives between boyhood and old age.”
In particular, ‘miminari’ means ‘tinnitus’ in Japanese. Through this single, KISNUE has expressed the narrative of youth intertwined with love and salvation, disaster and hope, chaos and recovery. They pose the question, “Was that feeling true love, or just a dependency born out of necessity?” capturing the ambivalent emotions of youth with calmness.
The music video, starring actors Lim Seung-min and E-Paksa, completes a visual narrative that intertwines memory, reality, and the illusions of youth. Lim Seung-min represents the anxiety and excitement of youth, while E-Paksa appears as a character embodying freedom and humor accumulated over time. Although they live in different times, the message that they are ultimately connected by the same story is clearly conveyed.
Lim Seung-min has gained attention as a next-generation actor, appearing in films such as ‘Fast Lives’, ‘Kingmaker’, ‘Juvenile Offender’, tvN’s ‘Immortal’, and the Netflix series ‘The Killer’s Game’. E-Paksa, known as the founder of ‘Techno Trot’, has established a unique musical world by combining trot and electronic music.
Meanwhile, KISNUE debuted in 2017 with the single album ‘Noise In My Head’, modernly reinterpreting delicate melodies and retro instrument sounds to build their own musical world. They made a mark by participating in the production of the ENA ‘I Shopping’ OST ‘Bench’ and expanded their musical spectrum by writing, composing, and arranging the track ‘All Night Long’ from Super Junior Yesung’s first regular album ‘Sensory Flows’. KISNUE also broadened their activity area by performing as a musician on EBS ‘Space Sympathy’ alongside Paloalto.
