Singer and actress IU has rekindled warm connections in Jeju.
On the 16th, IU posted several photos on her SNS with the caption, "I came to keep my promise to the Jeju painting halmang artists, Gwangrye-dol Aesoon #IWasTotallyFooled_DolAndEomeongAndHalmangToo."
In the released photos, IU is joyfully reuniting with the Jeju grandmother artists who participated in the 'I Was Totally Fooled' project.
The exhibition 'I Was Totally Fooled: Dol, Eomeong, Halmang' has been ongoing since the 2nd, showcasing paintings by nine Jeju grandmother artists with an average age of 87, based on the touching scenes from 'I Was Totally Fooled.'
'I Was Totally Fooled' is a work that depicts the adventurous lives of Aesoon (IU), a 'mischievous rebel' from Jeju, and Gwan-sik (Park Bo-gum), a 'foolish iron man,' across the four seasons.
This drama not only topped the buzz rankings but also proved its power as content by ranking 4th in the weekly chart for non-English TV shows on Netflix worldwide.
IU skillfully portrayed both Aesoon and Geum-myeong, taking on two roles in the drama.
