As DJ Yoon Sang takes a vacation from ‘Today Morning’, Lee Sedol, Kim Ji Ho, Lee Won Seok, and Kim Cho Rong will step in as special DJs.
Familiar faces will appear on MBC Radio’s ‘Today Morning with Yoon Sang’. Starting from the third week of June, Go player Lee Sedol, actor Kim Ji Ho, and Lee Won Seok, the main vocalist of the band Daybreak, will take the microphone as special DJs.
First, Go player Lee Sedol will challenge himself as a radio DJ for the first time on the 16th and 17th. He gained worldwide attention for his matches against the AI ‘AlphaGo’ and recently became a hot topic again by appearing on the Netflix variety show ‘Devil’s Plan 2’. The broadcast will cover various topics, including behind-the-scenes stories of his matches against AI, hidden stories from ‘Devil’s Plan 2’, and his life story. Listeners will have the opportunity to hear Lee Sedol’s honest voice, which has never been revealed on the radio before, over the two days.
Lee Won Seok, the main vocalist of the band Daybreak and known as ‘Yoon Sang’s neighborhood friend’, will join as a special DJ from the 18th to the 20th. He has regularly appeared as a fixed guest on ‘Today Morning’, showcasing great chemistry with DJ Yoon Sang, and this time he will take the main microphone to add musical depth to the program. With Daybreak’s solo concert coming up in July, there is growing interest in Lee Won Seok’s unique charm as a radio DJ.
On the weekend of the 21st and 22nd, MBC announcer Kim Cho Rong will take the microphone. Kim Cho Rong previously served as a DJ for MBC Standard FM’s ‘Healthy Morning with Kim Cho Rong’, which ended last year, for a year and three months. She is expected to demonstrate her seasoned hosting skills as an experienced DJ.
From the 23rd to the 25th, actor Kim Ji Ho will take over. Kim Ji Ho recently published her first essay collection ‘When My Heart Rumbles, I Will Willingly Be Alone’, communicating with the public in a different way. Making a return to radio after a long time, she will share stories from her life and daily experiences, as well as messages she wants to convey through yoga, in her warm voice. Kim Ji Ho expressed, “Radio is a warm medium full of humanity,” and added, “I am happy to communicate with listeners through ‘Today Morning’.”
