As malicious graffiti targeting singer BoA has been found in various places in Seoul, fans are voluntarily removing the graffiti.
Recently, a post appeared on an online community stating, "It is said that there are many low-quality malicious comments about singer BoA written in numerous places such as bus stops, transformers, and electronic billboard poles in the Gangnam area."
The accompanying photos showed one-sided malicious graffiti about BoA inscribed on bus stop advertisement boards. Additionally, many accounts of graffiti being spotted throughout Seoul have emerged.
As the post spread, BoA's fans took action. They shared the locations of the graffiti on social media and voluntarily began the "graffiti removal" process, even reporting that "the Cyber Crime Investigation Team is also accepting reports of graffiti on media poles."
Another fan covered the graffiti with paper on a meter, saying, "I temporarily covered it. I wish I could watch over it all night, but I’m sorry I can’t. I hope the artist never sees the graffiti."
Currently, BoA's fans are continuing to report and notify the Cyber Crime Investigation Team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and the artist defamation reporting channel of her agency, SM Entertainment, called "Wilderness 119."
