Actors Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji shared their thoughts on the conclusion of the drama ‘24-Hour Health Club’.

Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji starred in the KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘24-Hour Health Club’ (written by Kim Ji-soo, directed by Park Jun-soo and Choi Yeon-soo), which ended with its 12th episode on the 5th, playing the roles of a fitness enthusiast director and a novice member, respectively.

‘24-Hour Health Club’ is a heart-pounding comic romance about a fitness enthusiast director, Do Hyun-jung, who radically corrects the lives of overly anxious novice members.

Lee Jun-young played the role of Do Hyun-jung, who suddenly takes over an old gym from being a world-class bodybuilder, while Jung Eun-ji portrayed Lee Mi-ran, a novice member who enters the gym after a shocking breakup, delivering passionate performances.

From the perfect chemistry between the trainer and members to the sweet romance after they become a couple, the two provided viewers with both delightful excitement and laughter. They shared their thoughts on the conclusion through a Q&A session via their agency, Billions.

Here are Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji's Q&A on ‘24-Hour Health Club’

Q. How do you feel about finishing ‘24-Hour Health Club’?

A. (Lee Jun-young) I feel relieved. I prepared really hard for this project, so I have no regrets. I’m grateful that it gave me the message that “I can do this too.”

A. (Jung Eun-ji) It was a project that gave me the courage to take on a new challenge. I was really happy to work with great people.

Q. How do you perceive Hyun-jung and Mi-ran, and were there any difficulties or specific aspects you focused on while acting?

A. (Lee Jun-young) Hyun-jung is a character who believes that “everything is contained in exercise,” and while he can be frustrating, he is a friend who knows nothing but exercise. Whenever I had concerns while acting, the director provided a lot of direction, so I didn’t find it particularly difficult.

A. (Jung Eun-ji) When I first met the character Mi-ran, I thought she was good at her job, confident, and had a good personality, so I wondered why she couldn’t find true love and why she craved love so much. I realized that her relationship with her mother had created a somewhat negative frame for her, which helped me understand Mi-ran more deeply. I felt that it was Mi-ran's role to make viewers question, “Why do they think such a person doesn’t deserve love?” Ultimately, I hope that both Mi-ran and I can understand that loving oneself comes first, and I paid a lot of attention to that aspect.

Q. Are there any similarities between your role in the drama and your real self, and conversely, any differences?

A. (Lee Jun-young) I feel that I am similar in terms of sticking to a diet and being dedicated to completing what I start. My way of speaking is completely different.

A. (Jung Eun-ji) I think the similarities are that I love to eat and I love people, while the differences are everything else aside from those two things.

Q. As you say goodbye to ‘24-Hour Health Club’, is there anything you would like to say to Hyun-jung and Mi-ran?

A. (Lee Jun-young) I hope you take care of your relaxation and contraction and get along well with Mi-ran and the other members.

A. (Jung Eun-ji) I hope you continue to learn how to love. Just as you got to know yourself through exercise, I hope you learn to love as your true self with Director Do Hyun-jung.

Q. How do you think ‘24-Hour Health Club’ will remain in your memories?

A. (Lee Jun-young) Since I had to challenge both the comedic and bulked-up aspects, I think it will remain a challenging project for me.

A. (Jung Eun-ji) I think it will be remembered as a grateful project that allowed me to challenge myself in many ways.

Q. You have been called the “trendsetter” this year with your performances in various works such as ‘Melomovie’, ‘Poksak Sogassuda’, ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, and ‘24-Hour Health Club’. How do you feel about that?

A. (Lee Jun-young) First of all, thank you for your love, and I’m trying not to get too excited. I just want to feel grateful and live as my true self.

Q. As a “versatile entertainer” who has captured both singing and acting, are there any new fields, genres, or roles you want to challenge yourself with in the future?

A. (Jung Eun-ji) I want to meet many characters that are different from the ones I have played so far.

Q. What are your plans for activities in the second half of 2025?

A. (Lee Jun-young) I’m preparing an album, planning a fan meeting, and I’m scheduled to shoot my next project.

A. (Jung Eun-ji) I’m preparing for a project in the second half of the year, and I’m also planning an Apink and solo album, so I will greet you with a good project.

Q. Please say a word to the viewers who loved ‘24-Hour Health Club’.

A. (Lee Jun-young) Thank you for being a part of ‘24-Hour Health Club’ until now. I hope everyone stays safe and always happy. Gunbye!

A. (Jung Eun-ji) During my time as Mi-ran, I learned a lot about the importance of people and sincerity through many stories. I also learned once again that just as the muscles of the body are important, the muscles of the heart are also important, and that a healthy body is the foundation for that. I hope everyone who watched ‘24-Hour Health Club’ stays healthy in both body and mind. Gunbye!
