Actress Son Dam-bi opened up about the challenges of childbirth and parenting.
On the 6th, a video titled “[Son Dam-bi was deceived too] The story that eventually brought tears (Sorry, Mom)” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Dambi Son’.
In the video, Son Dam-bi said, “Instead of giving birth to our Hae-i, my face and neck were covered with flat warts,” and added, “A few days ago, I removed over 300 flat warts and am currently recovering, so I am covering my face.”
Son Dam-bi shared, “I took care of the baby with my brother all day for the first time and cried,” explaining, “I cried because it was so hard in the early morning. That’s why I wrote on Instagram that I respect all mothers. The tears just came out naturally. But my brother seemed to be okay. He said it was hard, but he enjoyed it. I want to applaud that kind of mentality.”
She also mentioned, “It’s harder when the newborn cries for unknown reasons,” adding, “I’m sensitive and can’t sleep for even an hour. I wake up immediately if the baby moves a little. I think this is a mother’s instinct. I really think mothers are amazing. They say the difficulty of parenting increases as the child grows. All mothers are truly great. I want to send applause to all parents in the world.”
Son Dam-bi married former speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk in 2022. After two rounds of IVF, she welcomed her daughter in April.
