Actor So Ji-sub's flex is making headlines.
On the 6th, a video featuring So Ji-sub, Ahn Gil-kang, Gong Myung, and Jo Han-cheol, the main cast of the Netflix series 'Gwangjang', was released on the YouTube channel 'Channel 15'.
Ahn Gil-kang revealed, “So Ji-sub gave each of the actors and staff a gold coin,” surprising everyone.
Hearing this, PD Na Young-seok exclaimed, “The price of gold has skyrocketed these days, hasn’t it?” He then jokingly mentioned their past connection from the tvN variety show 'Little House in the Forest', saying, “Why didn’t you give anything back then? Back then it was jjajangmyeon, but here you bought gold.”
In response, So Ji-sub joked, “Back then, the appearance fee was too small...” and added, “I’ve always prepared gifts for the staff and actors after filming. I prepared them out of my own pocket, but everyone thought they were sponsored.”
He explained, “Gold can’t be sponsored, so I prepared it sincerely. I meant for them to sell it and use it when times get tough.”
The 'Gwangjang' released on Netflix that day is a noir action film depicting the story of Gi-soon (So Ji-sub), who cut off his Achilles' heel and left the world of Gwangjang, returning after 11 years due to the death of his brother Gi-seok, the second-in-command of the organization, to uncover the truth behind it for revenge.
