BTS made headlines by appearing on the vote counting broadcast for the '21st Presidential Election'.

The MBC broadcast 'Selection 2025: Vote Counting for the 21st Presidential Election', aired on the 3rd, showcased unique videos utilizing various CG and images. In particular, the countdown video 'That Day, Together Now' delivered a profound resonance by cross-editing the past and present.

This video creatively reinterpreted the globally popular Nike advertisement 'You Can't Stop Us', cross-editing significant scenes from modern Korean history, such as Son Ki-jeong at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the Battle of Cheongsanri in 1920, the Korean Patriotic Corps in Shanghai in 1931, and the actions of Ahn Jung-geun, using AI technology.

Above all, the seamless connection between Kim Gu's speech at the 1st anniversary of liberation in 1946, where he stated, "Our entire nation is entering a period where we step onto the world stage," and BTS leader RM's words during his UN speech in 2018, "Now, let’s all take one step further," added to the emotional impact.

The editing that intertwined director Na Woon-kyu's film 'Arirang' and director Bong Joon-ho's 'Parasite', along with poet Yoon Dong-ju's 'Prologue' and Han Kang's book 'The Boy is Coming', also evoked strong emotions.

Various planned videos, such as Lee Bong-joo running across the nation in 'Run, Korea', introducing regional representative foods in 'Paldo Sodal Table', and merging science with democracy in 'Democracy is Science', added to the entertainment of the broadcast.

The vote counting broadcast was aired by the three major terrestrial broadcasters and comprehensive channels, with MBC recording 4.3% for Part 1, 12.8% for Part 2, 14.5% for Part 3, 14.1% for Part 4, 13.3% for Part 5, and 5.4% for Part 6, achieving the only double-digit viewership ratings. Notably, it recorded a peak viewership of 20.6% around 8 PM.
