Actress Kim Hye-eun sparked controversy by posting and later deleting a message on social media that seemed to target author Yoo Si-min, who made a statement calling Seol Nan-young, the spouse of Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, "not in her right mind."

On the 31st, Kim Hye-eun stated on her social media (SNS), "I don't think I've ever felt ashamed of my education from Seoul National University like I do today. I want to apologize on behalf of those who feel this way."

She continued, "The education and intelligence of a person are nothing but worthless bragging in front of those who speak of life's evidence through the sincerity of a hard life," and criticized, "If someone has a tongue that carelessly judges and belittles another's life, then they have the most shameful tongue."

She also expressed her support for Seol Nan-young, saying, "I respect women like Mrs. Seol, who have dedicated their lives to supporting a man's dreams while taking responsibility for their livelihood, and who have tried to throw themselves into justice as women labor activists. I respect her even more because I feel I could not live that way."

Kim Hye-eun further mentioned, "Mrs. Seol, who has quietly stood behind her husband without a single law card scandal while taking care of the family, and teacher Kim Young-ok, who shows her resilience to her juniors," adding, "They are my true role models that drive my life."

She emphasized, "I am not a highly educated person, nor am I a rotten intellectual living with a sense of class that belittles high school graduates just because I graduated from Seoul National University. Today is truly heartbreaking with such cheap and harsh words as a woman living in this era." The post has been deleted but has spread across SNS and various online communities.

Kim Hye-eun's post appears to be a targeted message aimed at author Yoo Si-min, who graduated from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University. Kim Hye-eun is also a graduate of Seoul National University, majoring in vocal music, and is an alumnus of Yoo Si-min.

Previously, on the 28th, Yoo Si-min appeared on YouTube's "Kim Eo-jun's Dasbeida" and stated, "The position of the spouse of a presidential candidate from a major party is almost unattainable in Seol Nan-young's life," adding, "So this person is now floating in the air. In other words, it means she is not in her right mind."

He also claimed, "Kim Moon-soo is someone who, in Seol Nan-young's view, is so great that it doesn't match with her," and suggested, "Through marrying such a man, she might feel elevated. After living a rough life, she became a member of parliament's wife. She will look up to her husband even more."

After the controversy arose, Yoo Si-min apologized, saying, "It was my fault that the expression was rough." He explained that the phrase "not in her right mind" meant "not being able to make purposeful and rational judgments," adding, "What I meant was that Mrs. Seol's actions are undermining her husband's votes."
