Blitzway Entertainment Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Seung-woo, Choi Seung-won), the agency of Ju Ji-hoon and Chun Woo-hee, has acquired the music label KLAP Entertainment (CEO Lee Sun).
The company is expanding its business scope beyond actors and drama content to include K-POP artist management.
KLAP Entertainment is a specialized label that has successfully led various project groups, including the girl group 'Kep1er', born from Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999', the final winning team 'VANNER' from JTBC's 'Peak Time', and Sistar19.
Chairman Bae Seong-woong of Blitzway Entertainment expressed his expectations, stating, "This acquisition goes beyond a simple merger of labels; KLAP's music production capabilities and global distribution network will create a strong synergy when combined with Blitzway's content infrastructure."
Regarding the recent change of the company name from 'Blitzway Studio' to 'Blitzway Entertainment' and the shift to a content-centered system, Chairman Bae stated, "With this acquisition of KLAP, we are one step closer to establishing a comprehensive IP branding system that integrates the music sector."
KLAP plans to accelerate the recruitment and development of K-POP artists in the future. In particular, it will focus on nurturing 'crossover artists' who can engage in both music and acting, establishing a new artist development system that transcends content and performance.
