Lee Ha-jung, a former MBC announcer and broadcaster, confessed to an incident of theft she experienced in the past.
On the 24th, during the MBN entertainment program ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’, they discussed the topic ‘Reasons why husbands go out’.
Lee Ha-jung began by saying that there were times she felt hurt by her husband Jeong Jun-ho, stating, “(Jeong Jun-ho) said he felt suffocated because of me. I moved into the house where he lived alone, adding just a few of my belongings, but he found it strange that I didn’t go to his house and kept staying there.”
She continued, “At some point, he thought, ‘Why is it uncomfortable in my own space?’ Hearing that shocked me and made me feel hurt. I wondered, ‘Is this not a newlywed home?’” She added, “Moreover, there was a burglary at the house. I wondered if it was a sign to move. A trio of thieves came in and took all the wedding gifts. I wanted to stay in that house even less.”
She said, “I was so scared. At that time, I was hosting the 9 o'clock news, so (the thieves) had figured out the times when the house would be empty. So, I started a proper newlywed life in the new house. After that, he didn’t talk about it anymore.”
In a previous broadcast, Lee Ha-jung also expressed her grievances about her husband Jeong Jun-ho, who is well-connected in the entertainment industry. She said at that time, “I feel like I’m one of his 15,000 acquaintances,” and added, “I got to know him while conducting an interview during my announcer days in 2010, and we had a super-fast marriage just four months later. Since our dating period was short, I dreamed of a sweet newlywed life, but that fantasy was shattered in an instant. Reality hit as soon as we got married. He has about 15,000 phone numbers saved on his phone, and he was incredibly busy.”
She continued, “The cost of sending flower arrangements for his acquaintances’ anniversaries or events alone amounts to over 200 million won a year. Because my husband was so busy, there were many weekends I spent alone during our newlywed days. So, I often felt hurt, thinking, ‘What’s the difference between me and the people saved in his contacts?’” She added, “Now, I’m just glad that I’m the closest among his many acquaintances. He is so busy that he lacks time, even on weekdays and weekends, but he is slowly showing changes, albeit gradually.”
Meanwhile, Lee Ha-jung, a former MBC announcer, married Jeong Jun-ho in 2011 and they have one son and one daughter. The couple made headlines by revealing that they built a luxury detached house worth 10 billion won in Songdo to send their children to Incheon International School.
