‘Dating Siblings’ Park Jae-hyung has denied allegations related to Ilbe.
On the 23rd, Park Jae-hyung promoted a video of his trip to Shanghai Disneyland with his younger sibling on his Instagram story.
However, the photo in the post was flipped, leading some netizens to raise suspicions about Ilbe.
The 23rd is the anniversary of the late former President Roh Moo-hyun's passing, and the far-right online community Ilbe (Ilgan Best) has been known to mock this occasion by flipping images.
As a result, some netizens interpreted that Park Jae-hyung was revealing Ilbe tendencies by posting the video link upside down, and even mocking the deceased.
In response, Park Jae-hyung quickly deleted the post and stated it was a “photo error.” He added, “I’ve been receiving continuous DMs, so I’m leaving this message. I was in a hurry to post while having a meal with my mother and tried to share the thumbnail as usual. I realized that the photo I posted could be interpreted in a different way after receiving many DMs.”
He continued, “I was so surprised that I deleted it right away and looked into how it could be interpreted. I later realized what went wrong. I truly didn’t know. I apologize for surprising many people due to my ignorance. I want to express my apologies to everyone who felt uncomfortable, and I will act more cautiously in the future.”
Park Jae-hyung also reiterated, “I have genuinely never accessed that site, and I really didn’t know it could be interpreted in that way.”
Meanwhile, Park Jae-hyung gained attention last year for appearing on the JTBC dating program ‘Dating Siblings’ with his younger brother Park Se-seung.
