The photoshoot of Oh My Girl's Mimi has been revealed.
The magazine 'Cosmopolitan' has released a photoshoot featuring Mimi.
The protagonist of the June issue's campaign photoshoot under the slogan 'FUN FEARLESS FEMALE' is Mimi, who has been carving out her own space from Oh My Girl activities to variety shows like 'Sixth Sense: City Tour' and 'Bbang Bbang Earth Arcade 3'.
In this photoshoot conducted with a 'cowgirl' concept, Mimi showcased her unique vivacity and lovely poses, completing distinctive photoshoot cuts.
After the photoshoot, an interview was conducted. Mimi, who successfully completed Oh My Girl's 10th anniversary solo concert 'Milky Way' last April, expressed her overwhelming feelings, saying, "Seeing how much the fans enjoyed it made me think, 'Ah, it ended well. I'm relieved.' I can't express how much effort we put into this concert. We prepared really hard because we were so eager."
She continued, "We had a lot of meetings while preparing for the concert. Whenever our busy schedules ended, we gathered to practice, and we changed the setlist frequently. We struggled a lot thinking about how to present the flow."
When asked what Oh My Girl means to her, who has built a unique career with all the words like dreamy, refreshing, and vibrant, Mimi replied, "It's everything of my 20s. In a way, my teenage years were also a time when I was running towards Oh My Girl. My most beautiful age is melted in it, and the time of wandering is also contained. I shared all of that with the members and the fans."
Continuing her active participation from 'Sixth Sense: City Tour' to the currently airing 'Bbang Bbang Earth Arcade 3', Mimi said, "When filming Earth Arcade, it goes by in a blur, but watching the broadcast feels like revisiting those memories. It's like a diary. While watching the show, I think, 'Oh, it was like this! Right, right, it was like that!' and I'm enjoying it. You will probably see the concentrated, explosive energy of the 'Jirak' members. There were moments that the members found really fun, and I'm looking forward to them being revealed in the future."
Mimi, who is actively challenging herself through Oh My Girl activities, variety shows, and her YouTube content 'Meme PD', when asked about the source of her efforts, said, "I try to take at least one step forward today compared to yesterday. If I can't take a step, then at least a nail's worth. I strive to live a life that develops day by day without falling behind. Of course, sometimes when I'm not feeling well or I'm tired, it can be tough. Because I'm human. I don't think I can always exert 100% energy. But during those times, I reflect on whether I haven't filled my tank, and I do some self-reflection. It's about renewing my mindset to live a little better today than yesterday."
When asked to create a new descriptor symbolizing Mimi in the future, she replied, "'Only One' and 'Number One' are not for me. I just want to live well as myself. To do that, I will work hard just like now. A swan that appears calm on the outside but is paddling hard underneath? Like a black swan? (laughs)" conveying Mimi's positive energy.
